  • Most reliable car ever

I put ALOT of miles on my cars. This Chevy Bolt has been the most reliable of all. To date with 79,000 miles on the odometer, I have had NO dealer visits at all other than a software upgrade which cost me nothing. Take into account no gas, no oil, no maintenance and this adds up to an amazing driving and pocketbook experience. While they are more expensive to buy at the beginning, the savings quickly add up. I would highly recommend you look at a bolt if you have a long commute and spend more that $2000 a year on fuel. It has a simple plastic interior but do not be fooled, there is a significant amount of tech and value built in, just not in the interior finishes. I would buy this car again without even thinking about it. Well done Chevy.

Great car. I charge it from 250 to 300 miles. That is more than the 238 miles. The best car I have ever owned. I am 92 years old and have driven many cars over the years. I like it because I do not have to go to any gas station. I installed my charger myself and made it very accessible for charging. I charge it approximately every 7 days. Plug it in at night and it’s fully charged the next day.

The range is the best you can get for $40000. This might change as other companies enter the EV market. The safety features are excellent. I really like the birds' eye view as you can see all obstacles all around your car forward and backward. its a little smallish and not the highest quality interior, but is solid. The interior is larger than you would guess as it has more head room than any other car I have owned. Most of the cost is in the propulsion and safety tech. I easily get 300+ miles in town with 200+ miles at 79 mph. The EPA 238 mile range would appear to be right on for mixed driving conditions. Beware of other range standards (NEDC WLTP) as they are 20% to 30% too high. I think Tesla's ranges meet EPA criteria but at a higher cost. I think the crossover design has more storage than the Tesla sedans. I caution buying one for a new driver as its acceleration may result in too many tickets.
